But God

Everyone has their own personal story of God’s divine intervention. How He brought them out of the enemies hand and delivered them. God’s fingerprint is on every life whether we choose to admit His existence or not. He is still there. The psalmist say He is always there pleading and making intercession to the Father on our behalf. He is just waiting for us to get it right. God provides us ample time to come to the realization that it is not about us but that it is because of Him that we even have breath. That because of His sacrifice are we even able to have existence. It is not because of any good that we have done but only the love of the son, sitting on the right hand of the father pleading our case that we are; But God!

It is when we come into that knowledge of understanding the full power of God that we no longer take our existence for granted. We began to understand that we are beautifully and wonderfully made. We are crafted, each one a different design with an original purpose in mind. While we often don’t know our purpose, it is our divine right to figure out the reason for your existence. Make no mistake that we all have a purpose and reason for living. You may not understand it, may question why, but it is advantageous for us to figure it out.

It is time for us, as true believers of the word to stand up and take your rightful place. It is time to be diligent in the delivery of the word. We are building the kingdom, and as the body of Christ we need to be pristine, shining examples of His grace and mercy, striving daily to be like Him. No we aren’t perfect cause we are fleshly beings living this human experience, but in Christ we have the example of perfection and this is how we pattern our life’s. Through Him we become perfect, Psalms 18:30 (NIV) says “As for God, his way is perfect:

The Lord’s word is flawless;”

I could tell you cute stories of how your walk with Christ will be a bed of roses, peaches and cream, but that would be an untruth. Truth is, this walk is hard and tedious. Sometimes you will want to give up, you will want to throw in the towel. You are going to shed tears, have your feelings hurt by some of God’s very elect but I’m here to tell you don’t let the enemy trick you or stop you from reaching your purpose in God. No matter how you reach your purpose be it running, walking, or even crawling, do what you must to get there. The rewards of living in God’s will far outweigh any riches you could ever receive on earth. The heavenly reward is far greater than this earthly outcome.

James stated in James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. So even though this walk becomes tedious at times, we must continue to have faith. In this faith walk, God is growing our patience, making us stronger and equipping us for the race. I found it interesting that everything else in this scripture refers to man, except patience. I think that was deliberate because patience is a virtue typically seen in women. My Bishop says it is because women birth (the baby), they actually bring forth. Wisdom and patience is something that’s birthed and in turn, can bring forth. As we run this race with patience we are birthing forth purpose, birthing hope, birthing love. It is all by Gods design.

I am uniquely and unequivocally me. A mother of two sons, a wife, a caregiver, woman of God, not necessarily in that order. God is definitely the head and first of my life, because with out Him I would not be. I have been writing poetry since I was able to spell words and read. Most times as an outlet for what ever situation I was in at the time. My deepest desire has always been to write a story that will help someone;s journey be a lot easier. To heal the world with words, not destroy it with them. This is my journey to my destiny. Do you really see me and what is hidden behind my smile? Do you really care about the heart that beats inside? So what if I’m not hood, or ghetto as some So what if I’m overweight and my hair is short Don’t hate on my upbringing because it’s not what you may think Who cares if I get my hands and toes done? For none of that stuff makes up the woman that lies within The big dark brown eyes, the little ears, the pretty smile The voluptuous breast, the big round booty, oh you feel me now Not the long, thunderous brown legs, fingers or this big old nose None of these things help to make up this woman’s worth What lies within is a heart of gold That would give you the world on a silver platter If you believed in her and chased stars with her Watched sunsets, and sunrise, listened to poetry, and Mozart If you could cater to some of her needs at least pretend to care Be her lover and her friend; tell her jokes even when darkness ends Whisper sweet nothings just because, say I love you and not fear you’d fall Take her to heaven at least once a week, treat her special and call her friend Love her like she’s the only one, and hold her tight when were done Pray with her, eat with her, sleep with her, and dance until morning comes If only someone saw what lies within.
